La seva recerca s’ha centrat en l’estudi dels processos de significació i representació simbòlica que configuren la vida social–tot atenent els marcs institucionals i les desigualtats que els condicionen. Mitjançant la integració de treball teòric i empíric amb metodologies qualitatives, ha explorat aquests processos en diversos subcamps de la sociologia. La seva recerca actual examina les transformacions socioecològiques a través de les lents entrellaçades dels imaginaris ecosocials, les articulacions polítiques col·lectives i els llegats materials.
