Alba Siguero Lizano

Predoctoral researcher (FPU)

Expertise: Religious Diversity, Spirituality, Ecological Humanities

Alba Siguero Lizano is a FPU predoctoral researcher in the Department of Social Anthropology and Social Psychology at the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM). Her doctoral thesis, co-directed by Dr. Mónica Cornejo Valle (UCM) and Dr. Mar Griera Llonch (UAB), explores the intersection between ecology and spirituality, with a particular focus on the creation of new rituals within the framework of the environmental movement.

She graduated in Social and Cultural Anthropology from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, where she also completed a Master's degree in Religious Sciences. She is currently part of the Doctoral Program in Sociology and Anthropology at the same university.

Throughout her academic career, she has been a fellow in the Research Department of the Centro de Investigaciones Sociológicas (CIS) during the year 2024. She has also been the principal researcher of the Religious and Spiritual Diversity among the Student Population of the Complutense University of Madrid (DIVERESU) project, funded by the Student Observatory of this institution.
