About BCURE
BCURE is the Laboratory for the Study of Culture and Religion at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. A research space that focuses on how culture and religion participate in the configuration of collective imaginaries, value systems and conflicts that cross contemporary societies.
We are a research group that combines intellectual openness, creativity, theoretical solidity and scientific rigor.

At BCURE we promote research that is committed to the present and oriented towards social change. We conduct research to question dominant narratives, make silenced knowledge visible, and give voice to the diversity of experiences that shape contemporary societies.

Our mission is to open spaces where academic thought connects with social life, and where culture and religion can be analyzed as fields of dispute, memory and transformation.
